That is what it is all about! Having fun. Pella hosts a fun Fishing Derby the Saturday the week before the Super Bowl each year.This year the date is January 30th, 2016.
There is easy pond access with well marked signage once you reach Pella. On the ice you'll find plenty of food, beverages, and fun. There are raffles starting at 3pm inside the back Bar at Hoppers Bar downtown Pella, with the proceeds going to help stocking and improving Pella Pond.

Everyone is welcome, this is a catch and release derby, geared towards family fun. Come join us, bring your family and enjoy the day. Afterwards we retreat to Hoopers Bar in downtown Pella for awards, and the big raffle drawing. The big raffle drawing in past times has include LCD TV's, grills, deer blinds, ice augers, meat raffles, custom quilts and a host of other items. Join us you won't be disappointed.
